The 9907-167 unit is part of the Woodward 505E series of digital control devices. These devices are part of the 505E series manufactured by Woodward. It is one of the oldest independent manufacturers of turbine control systems in the United States. The 505E series is designed for industrial steam turbines, small turbine generators or utility turbine expansion models. The 505E series is designed for single extraction and/or intake of steam turbines. It operates the steam turbine by using a pair of actuators to drive the inlet steam valve.
