The Type 8406-113 belongs to the Woodward EGCP-3 Engine Generator Control Suite Load Distribution (LS) model family. The microprocessor-based unit is designed to be used with or in conjunction with other LS units. The 8406-113 has a rated input voltage of 18-32 V dc and a rated operating temperature range of -20 to +70 °C.
The LS model features a keyboard and display interface, including two backlit LCD screens that enable users to monitor and adjust relevant parameters simultaneously. These screens display eight lines of status information, with a choice of four lines of configuration or alarm log information.
Before use, you must configure 8406-113 through the first startup menu; These items cannot be edited while the engine is running. For standard operation, the 8406-113 configuration points are available from the front panel display. Other configuration points (as well as standard configuration points) are accessible from the Watch Window software via the ServLink communication serial link.
The control unit has 9 status menus for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. These menus are System status, engine status, generator status, synchronizer status, KW load status, PF/KVAR status, I/O status, sequence status, and ATS status (Please note: LS models do not have any transfer switch function.
