PROSOFT 1454-9F is an industrial communication module produced by ProSoft Technology, which is a Modbus master/slave network interface module for SLC 5/02 M/M1 processors or newer models. The module can be mounted to the 1746 backplane, and when mounted to a local rack or extension rack, this module receives a valid configuration. It does not support installation to remote I/O racks.
The 1454-9F module has an RJ45 commissioning and configuration port with a DB-9M cable and operates only with the RS-232 standard. It also has two RJ45 RS-232/422/485 application combo ports. In addition, the module is equipped with LED indicators for displaying module status, backplane transmission status, application status, serial activity and error status.
The PROSOFT 1454-9F module enables any compatible SLC 500 processor to easily interface with Modbus-enabled devices and host instruments. It acts as an I/O module between the MODBUS network and the SLC 500 baseboard, performing asynchronous data transfers and providing a register size of 5,000 words.
