The basic MVME188A consists only of a system controller (SYSCON) board and a 25 MHz main logic (CPU) board. 　　Enhancements to the MVME188A (on the MVME188) include a single-cycle refresh to minimize VCC noise, increased on-board bypass capacitance, and on-board shielding for high-speed clock lines. In addition, the MVME188A has enhanced the orthogonal data/address line layout to reduce cross talk and changed from CMOS to TTL drivers to reduce overshoot/downshoot.
