The IS200VTURH1BAA board is part of the GE Mark VI Speedtronic system. This control system is used for the control and maintenance of steam or gas industrial turbines.
IS200VTURH1BAA is a main turbine protection card. It has a variety of features, including:
Controls (3) overspeed trip relays located on the TRPx terminal board. The board has nine magnetic relays interconnected with three trip solenids. In a TMR system, all nine relays are used. In a simplex system, only three relays are used.
Monitor (8) Geiger-Mueller flame detector. These are for gas turbine applications only.
Monitor induction shaft current and voltage
Turn off the main circuit breaker/provide automatic generator synchronization.
The turbine speed is measured using (4) passive pulse rate devices.
The IS200VTURH1BAA can be installed in the VME processor rack only when the power is off. The board should be pushed in using top and bottom pull rods to secure the edge connectors. The board is then secured to its position in the rack system using external screws (top and bottom). The narrow front panel contains only these additional screws, a D-housing connector, and three LED indicators. These indicators are labeled Status, Fail, and Run.
The board is designed to measure turbine speed with up to four pulse rate signals. This is in simplex applications. The board can also be used for TMR applications, but the way the signal is picked up is different.
