The GE/Bently Nevada 3500/42M series of approximation/seismic monitors is a four-channel monitor that accepts input from proximity and seismic sensors, adjusts the signal to provide a variety of vibration and position measurements, and compares the adjusted signal to user-programmable alarms.
You can program each channel with 3500 rack configuration software to perform the following functions: radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity, REBAM, acceleration, speed, absolute axis, and circular acceptance area.
The main purpose of the 3500/42M proximity/seismic monitor is to provide mechanical protection by continuously comparing the monitoring parameters to the configured alarm Settings to drive the alarm. These modules also provide necessary machine information for operation and maintenance personnel.
